Description: This person is responsible for the provision of pediatric dental care for clinic patients.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of a School of Dentistry, graduate of a CODA accredited pediatric dental residency.

Experience: Experience working, as a pediatric dentist preferred.

Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Current Washington State Dental License, Current BLS Certification, and Current DEA. Must be board certified within three years of employment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Knowledge of dental principles and treatment procedures including prevention of pain, infection, loss of teeth developing dentition; knowledge in public health principles; ability to be compassionate and culturally sensitive towards underserved populations, specifically the migrant population; must be able to provide: highest quality of clinic care to all patients, highest quality of care in a public health care setting; must be able to adhere to review by: YVFWC Quality Assurance program, Washington State Dental Practice Act, National Health Service Corps and United States Public Health Service Guidelines; must be able to further the cause of public health concepts; ability to work with all ages of patients; ability to work with an interpreter, if necessary; ability to interact effectively with patients, families, clinic team members and others; ability to demonstrate professionalism in appearance and behavior; and Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
