Community Health Care is a leading non-profit organization that serves
Pierce County's low income, uninsured, and underserved population. We are
currently seeking a qualified dental assistant to join our Lakewood Dental
team.
This position of responsibility requires a variety of technical skills to
include assisting the dentist/dental hygienist with dental preparation and
prevention procedures as well as reception, clerical and billing duties as
required. Primary responsibilities will include: sterilization, procedures,
cleaning, placing temporary fillings, temporary crowns, reception desk
duties, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bi-lingual capacity in SPANISH required. High School diploma or equivalent.
Graduation from a State approved Dental Assistant Program. Active
Registered Dental Assistant in the State of Washington. Previous experience
working chair side. Previous experience in scheduling and other reception
desk duties. Ability to operate and maintain proficiency in computer
operations. Familiar with rotation process in equipment service and
maintenance of x-ray development autoclaves, compressor, hand pieces, etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to be an effective
team member.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
State Certification preferred. Minimum 2-3 years experience in chair side
duties. Community Health experience. Experience at the front desk.
