DENTAL SURGERY SCHEDULING COORDINATOR

DESCRIPTION:
Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking a full-time DENTAL SURGERY SCHEDULING COORDINATOR. This position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patients for 3 dental centers and area hospitals according to hospital guidelines and requirements; contacting patient to deliver instructions; follow-up to ensure all paperwork has been completed and ensure hospital receives necessary paperwork in a timely manner. Coordinate patient time with dentist. Make confirmation calls to each patient. Obtain prior authorization for hospital sedation if necessary. Remain in close contact with the Office Mgr. at each referring center to ensure efficient flow.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma.
• Dental experience required
• Medical/Surgery scheduling experience preferred
• Working knowledge of microcomputers for word processing, insurance claims processing, and records management (Microsoft Office Programs)
• Ability to effectively manage more than one activity at a time
• Ability to work well with children of all ages and adapt to different needs and techniques
• Ability to work under pressure and who understands and follows the chain of command
• Ability to work professionally with confidential, proprietary data and information while maintaining confidentiality
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization
• Strong communications skills
• Some travel to other dental centers may be required
• English/Spanish bilingual REQUIRED
