Receives and schedules patients for treatment in dental clinic and operating room. Keeps records of appointments, examinations, treatments, and supplies. Prepare clinic operating room and assists dentist. Assists the dentist in the management of patients under local or general anesthesia, nitrous oxide or intravenous sedation, and in their immediate postoperative care. Cleans and sterilizes materials; prepares sterile trays and packs for a variety of special procedures. Takes dental x-rays. Develops and finishes films.
