Diagnoses and treats dental conditions, injuries, and irregularities of the oral cavity and related tissues, with use of clinical examination, dental radiographs and medical history.
Essential Functions:
1. Coordinates the preparation of reports and written documentation as required by the department, company, state and federal agencies.
2. Consults with the patients and advises them of their dental status and prescribes the treatment required.
3. Cleans, restores and replaces dentition using the approved methods of patient care.
4. Treats soft hard tissues diseases of the oral cavity; performs surgery on oral tissues when necessary; renders prosthetic treatment when approved and indicated; designs and places orthodontic devices to correct minor malocclusion of teeth and renders any and all dental services to restore the oral health of the patient.
Skills / Requirements
DDS Degree, Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of California; Current CPR certificate, 2 years experience and previous experience supervising of dental assistants, Bilingual (English/Spanish). Good oral and written communication. Good communications skills with the public and other employees. Patience and understanding toward others, knowledge of dental management programs such as Dentrix is preferable. May be required to work some evenings and/or Saturdays.
